Based on a recently completed project at Rochester International Airport, ID Signsystems was asked by Milwaukee International Airport to fast-track the design and implementation of their custom architectural signs gateway program and feature interior branded green (moss) wall. The project required concept development, approval, permitting, fabrication and final installation within a four-month time period.

IDS utilized rapid prototype visualization to develop variety of initial options that were 3D day/night rendered. This high-level finish enabled the MKE team to select a solution and agree on a finalized concept. Meanwhile, IDS prepared in advance all of the elements that would require completion including permit approval, transport and site review.

With our Turn-key process delineated in advance, IDS was able to provide sufficient time for the client team to review design approaches and samples. IDS was able to quickly budget and value engineer the finished designs and be ready for fabrication while the project management team surveyed the site and liaised with local authorities for permitting. The custom architectural signs were installed within the timeframe and budget parameters and received very positive feedback from the MKE management team and airport users.
